Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz is pleased to invite academic teachers, administrative staff and representatives of partner institutions to the 2nd International Staff Week 03/2026.
The event will take place from 23 to 27 March 2026 at Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
KPU Staff Week is designed for participants coming for both training mobility and teaching mobility. It creates an opportunity to meet in an international academic environment, exchange good practices, learn more about KPU, take part in workshops and join selected cultural and integration activities.
The programme includes meetings, university presentations, intercultural workshops, job shadowing, guided activities in Bydgoszcz and participation in selected events organised as part of the International Open Science Days.
Who can participate?
KPU Staff Week 2026 is addressed to international guests from partner universities and institutions who are interested in academic cooperation, staff mobility, teaching mobility and training mobility.
The event is suitable for:
- academic teachers,
- administrative staff,
- Erasmus+ coordinators,
- international office representatives,
- university staff involved in student services,
- staff members interested in international cooperation,
- representatives of partner institutions.
Participants will have the opportunity to meet KPU staff, learn more about the University, exchange experience with colleagues from other institutions and take part in a programme combining academic, cultural and practical elements.

Monday is planned as the opening day of Staff Week. It introduces participants to the University, the local academic environment and the group taking part in the programme.
The day starts with a tour around the University, followed by a welcome meeting, coffee and discussions. The programme also includes a nature walk in Myślęcinek Park, one of the most recognisable green areas in Bydgoszcz.

Thursday is dedicated to practical exchange and direct contact with KPU staff.
The programme includes job shadowing, discussion with University staff and representatives, as well as cultural and city-related activities. Participants will have the opportunity to discover Bydgoszcz through a boat ride with lunch on board and a guided city tour.
This day is especially useful for participants interested in observing university operations, discussing administrative or academic procedures and building professional contacts with KPU staff.

Friday closes the Staff Week programme with voluntary participation in the ETAT Conference.
The conference is part of the International Open Science Days and gives participants an additional opportunity to take part in academic discussion, meet researchers and engage with international academic topics at Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz.
International Open Science Days
KPU Staff Week 2026 is organised together with the International Open Science Days, which include academic events and conferences.
This format allows participants to combine staff mobility with broader academic exchange. In addition to meetings and workshops, guests can take part in selected scientific events and learn more about current academic initiatives at KPU.
The International Open Science Days strengthen the international dimension of the event and create space for cooperation between teachers, researchers, administrative staff and partner institutions.
Voluntary trips and activities
Participation in trips and selected external activities is voluntary.
Participants who would like to join trips or additional activities should inform the University in the submission email. This helps the International Cooperation Office organise the programme smoothly and prepare the necessary arrangements.
The programme includes activities such as:
- nature walk in Myślęcinek Park,
- visit to the Museum of Soap and the History of Dirt,
- boat ride with lunch on board,
- guided city tour in Bydgoszcz.
These activities are intended to support integration, intercultural exchange and a better understanding of Bydgoszcz as an academic city.
Participation fee
There are no fees for participation in KPU Staff Week 2026.
Participants should, however, confirm the details of their mobility, travel arrangements and participation in optional activities directly with the International Cooperation Office.
