Learn about the Publishing House of Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz, supporting academic publications, scientific journals and the dissemination of research achievements.
Established in 2004 under Resolution No. 16A/2004 of the Convention of the Kujawy and Pomorze Institution of Higher Education in Bydgoszcz, the Publishing House of Kujawy and Pomorze University supports the University’s scientific and educational mission. It promotes academic achievements, disseminates research result, and ensures that scholarly work is accessible to students, researchers, and readers interested in high‑quality academic content.
The Publishing House has operated at the University since 2004 and supports the publication of scientific, educational and academic materials connected with KPU’s research and teaching mission.
In 2019, the Publishing House was included by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on the official list of recognised publishers issuing peer‑reviewed academic monographs — a distinction held by only a few non‑public universities in Poland.
It collaborates with leading academic institutions and publishing entities, including the Vatican Foundation Joseph Ratzinger – Benedict XVI, the European Parliament, the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), C.H. Beck, and Adam Marszałek Publishing House. These partnerships have resulted in numerous joint publications and international academic congresses.
KPU publishes three peer‑reviewed journals.
Their content is indexed in major databases such as ERIH Plus, EBSCO, CEJSH, BazEkon, Pol‑Index, and BazHum, and listed annually in the ICI Journals Master List, confirming their growing academic impact.
The Publishing House operates within a structured academic framework, including publishing procedures, double‑blind review standards, and publication ethics in line with COPE Best Practice Guidelines.
