How to apply to KPU in 5 steps

Submit your application by email
Send all required documents in scanned form to: internationaloffice@akp.bydgoszcz.pl Include your full name, chosen programme and country of origin. The International Office will confirm receipt and begin the evaluation process.

Verification of documents
Your application will be reviewed to confirm the authenticity of diplomas, compliance with Polish regulations and eligibility for the chosen level of study.
If clarification is needed, the university will contact you directly.

Receive your offer and complete the next steps
If your application is approved, you will receive a Conditional Offer Letter with tuition fee details and payment instructions. After the fee is paid, you will receive the Final Acceptance Letter, required for the Polish national visa (Type D). Upon arrival, you will complete registration and present original documents.

You may contact the International Office before applying to confirm requirements, translation rules or legalisation procedures.

Prepare your documents
Collect all required documents:
- Valid passport
- Secondary school certificate / Bachelor's diploma
- Transcript of records
- Confirmation of eligibility to continue education
- English certificate (B1/B2) or proof of studies in English
- Passport-style photo
- CV
- Motivation letter
- Proof of payment of the application fee
- Apostille or legalisation
- Certified translations (if applicable)

Verification & Language Check
KPU verifies the authenticity of your documents, compliance with Polish regulations and eligibility for the chosen level of study.
English-language proof may include:
- IELTS / TOEFL / Cambridge certificates
- National B1/B2 certificates
- Previous studies conducted in English
- Internal KPU interview
Offer, Visa & Arrival
After approval, you will receive a Conditional Offer Letter with payment instructions.
After paying the first-semester tuition fee, you will receive the Final Acceptance Letter required for the Polish National Visa (Type D).
Visa requirements typically include:
- Final Acceptance Letter
- Proof of financial means
- Health insurance
- Accommodation confirmation
- Passport and visa form
Upon arrival at KPU:
- Present original documents
- Sign the study contract
- Complete registration
- Obtain student ID
- Attend orientation sessions
