Kujawy and Pomorze University in Bydgoszcz invites scholars, researchers, academic teachers, practitioners and international partners to participate in the 2nd International ETAT Conference: Europe Today and Tomorrow.
The conference creates a platform for interdisciplinary academic dialogue on the key challenges and opportunities facing Europe today and tomorrow. It is addressed to representatives of social sciences and humanities, as well as to people interested in sustainable solutions for economic, social, environmental and cultural development.
The event supports international academic cooperation, exchange of research results and discussion on the future of Europe from different scientific, institutional and practical perspectives.

The conference is organised with the involvement of academic institutions from several European countries. The cooperation between partner institutions strengthens academic exchange, international networking and joint reflection on the social, economic, environmental and cultural development of Europe.

Conference panels
Panel 1: Sustainable Economy, Society and Environment in Europe
This panel addresses the interconnected economic, social and environmental dimensions of contemporary Europe. It invites contributions that explore how sustainable development strategies, public policies, innovation and social responsibility shape European societies and economies.
The panel welcomes theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented research focused on economic transformation, social resilience, environmental challenges, responsible governance and development strategies in the European and global context.
Topics discussed within this panel include sustainability reporting, ESG disclosure, digital transformation, climate and social resilience, public and non-governmental cooperation, greenwashing, innovation systems, tourism development, labour market challenges and sustainable regional development.
Panel 2: Culture, Language and Communication in Contemporary Europe
This panel focuses on cultural, linguistic and communication perspectives on Europe today and tomorrow. It brings together research in cultural studies, communication, media, language studies, English studies and philology.
Contributions may examine cultural identity, intercultural communication, multilingualism, discourse, literature, translation, language education, social integration and the role of communication in strengthening social cohesion and European values.
The panel also includes topics related to Erasmus+ mobility, intercultural learning, inclusive education, artificial intelligence in language teaching and multilingualism in English-medium educational contexts.
Book of Abstracts
The ETAT II Book of Abstracts was prepared on the basis of submitted conference registration forms. It includes presentation abstracts grouped into two thematic panels.
According to the Book of Abstracts, the publication contains abstracts related to sustainable development, economy, society, environment, culture, language and communication. The event combines online and on-site participation, reflecting the international and hybrid character of the conference.

Articles prepared on the basis of conference presentations may be considered for publication after receiving a positive review.
The planned publication path includes a peer-reviewed scientific monograph published by the Publishing House of Kujawy and Pomorze University or selected scientific journals included in the list of the Ministry of Education and Science.
